Exclusive interview with Ms. Farahnaz Telaee Qubad, one of the distressed women in the country.2018

Question: Madam Qebad! What is the main story of your husband being a refugee in Germany?

Answer: My husband worked as an employee of Istiqlal Hospital in the laboratory section, and he was also a third-year student at Ariana Medical University. Because he is the original resident of Logar Province, therefore, my husband's family and I lived in the Charkh District of Logar Province. All the youth there were called by the Taliban to participate fight (jihad) against the central government. Anyone who rebels against the Taliban will be killed in the most heinous manner. The Taliban also asked my husband to fight with them, but my husband had said that he is studying medicine in Kabul, and that he would come with them when his studies are completed. They had later seen my husband at Istiqlal Hospital and asked his colleagues about the period of time he worked there. Then they threatened to kill my husband saying that he should come with them to treat their sick and injured persons, or accept his death. They also threatened to kill me and my husband's family, and they sent us a warning. Because my husband did not want to work with the enemies of the Afghan people, he had to leave his family, wife and homeland.

Question: Madam Qebad! How is the current situation of your life after leaving your husband?

Answer: After my husband left the country, the Taliban again threatened us so that my husband returns back, and we were forced to leave Logar Province. We currently live in secrecy because they have access to all cities in Afghanistan and can easily kill anyone they want. The life has been so painful for me, as just six months after our wedding my husband left me, and there is no hope for what our future will be. My husband is abroad without a fortune and I am at risk of death here.
